Once every 3 years leaders from A Rocha’s national organisations gather to share, pray, listen and make strategic decisions. May 10-17 saw leaders from 26 countries gather at Tagaytay in the Philippines. It was an inspiring, encouraging and moving time to learn how God is at work in creation care, sometimes in very challenging situations. Amongst the highlights were:
- Welcoming A Rocha Costa Rica and A Rocha Singapore as new national A Rocha organisations.
- Daily worship and teaching based around the Lord’s prayer: reflecting on how we seek God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
- Modelling servant leadership as A Rocha International’s board chair and Executive Director symbolically washed the feet of other leaders.
- Renewed commitment to standards in safeguarding and governance, and in supporting the wider A Rocha family financially and practically.
